Terms of Service
Effective September 18, 2026. These terms cover use of Cella’s public records and workspaces. Cella is operated from Dallas. Questions: legal@cella.art.
Using Cella
Public pages are free to read. Artist, gallery, city, institution, festival, and sponsor workspaces may be used professionally under a free-beta, paid, or assigned plan. Use only the accounts, records, and workspace permissions assigned to you.
By using Cella, you agree to these terms. If you use a workspace for an organization, you must be authorized to act for it.
Plans and payment
Prices labeled Proposed are planned offers. They do not mean checkout is open or that you have agreed to a charge. A paid plan begins only after you accept its price and billing terms through checkout or an agreed invoice.
Certificate issuance is a paid action under the proposed certificate offer when paid issuance opens. A record can exist without a certificate. No charge is made merely for reading a record, creating a free personal account, or seeing a proposed offer.
Before a purchase, the applicable checkout or agreement must identify the seller, amount, billing period, taxes if any, renewal terms, cancellation process, and any refund terms. An assigned workspace requires approval. A request or free account does not grant that assignment.
The plans page does not modify a separate existing subscription or signed agreement.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information and protect your credentials. Do not impersonate an artist, gallery, contributor, or organization. Do not bypass access controls or submit evidence you know is false.
Do not scrape or resell the registry without written permission from Cella. Normal public browsing, linking to records, and permitted search-engine indexing are allowed. Do not disrupt the service or use it to infringe another person’s rights.
Your content and public history
You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You must have permission to provide it. You grant Cella a non-exclusive license to store, display, and use that content as needed to operate the feature you submit it to, including the public registry when you submit a public contribution.
Submitted evidence is reviewed before acceptance. Cella may reject or remove material that is inaccurate, unlawful, infringing, or outside the record’s scope. Accepted history can remain part of a public record after account closure. See Privacy for personal-information removal requests.
A later report adds a new entry. It does not automatically rewrite earlier history. A public record is not a promise that an artwork is still present or accessible.
Evidence, visits, and certificates
A save is a bookmark, not ownership or proof of a visit. Visit checks may require location, a supported tag, or a beacon. Lens searches recorded images and does not prove a visit.
Open claim, Source-backed, Artist-confirmed, Cella verified, Certificate, and Uncertain or disputed describe different claims. One label does not automatically establish another. A certificate covers only the scope printed on it. It is not an automatic guarantee of ownership, value, authenticity, or every statement on a record.
These are Cella records, not total visitation or a measure of economic impact. Beacon activity does not count everyone who visited.
Availability and limits
Cella is provided as available. Tools marked beta can change or have limited functions. A public record can remain after removal of a work, but no perpetual hosting guarantee is made.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cella does not warrant that every record is complete, accurate, or continuously available. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that the law does not allow to be excluded.
Privacy, changes, and contact
The Privacy Policy explains account information, photos, location, public records, and deletion requests. Changes to these terms will appear here with an updated effective date. Contact legal@cella.art with questions or a rights complaint. Include the affected record URL and a way to reply.
